Hack! Hack!
I have now been sick for an entire week! I never get sick! Until now! Pass the tissue!
In other news, it is still supposed to snow Friday night into Saturday afternoon. If I get stuck in Sioux City it will not be good, but it will be worse if I am stuck and carolers begin to sing "I'll be home for Christmas." Worse for the Carolers that is, I would probably do a lot of screaming, it might make national news: "Angry holiday traveler beats carolers, details at 9:00."

CHRISTMAS AGAIN!
It's almost Christmas! and I am so excited! I've had the apartment decorated for a while but haven't put any pictures up of my decorations, so here they are! I love all of my Christmas stuff! I've been collecting the stars for a really long time, the wreaths are just great ways to spread cheer, and the one is even a jingle bell wreath! Then there is my pretty stocking, nativity, Christmas ornaments, CHRISTMAS TREE and little bits of cheer. Last is some Christmas tinsel stuff that I took a picture of when I was at Chelsea and Scott's for Thanksgiving!
I love Christmas, and am so excited to go my parents house and spend time in their wonderfully Christmas decorated home!

Christmas!
It is so close! I am so excited to go home in just a few short days (read:12 days)!
As I sit at my desk with a warm cup of peppermint coffee I am so excited for the many Christmas traditions to happen once again. All of the anticipation, wanting to give people their presents right away! I am also excited to fly home and see my family waiting for me, excited for big Christmas trees, being toasty, sharing presents, HUGS, reading the Sunday before Christmas, holding my great Grandma's hand, seeing Christmas songs at church. I love singing Christmas songs at church, during Christmas no matter how horrible your voice is, when it's Christmas everyone sings loud, and proud! I am so excited to go home and celebrate Christmas with my family.

"I'm a weird kid."
Today, like most Wednesdays, I got to babysit Maddy with Sara. We always have a great time because Maddy is so FUNNY! First I got her the game "Candy Land" for Christmas, and we played, I actually won but she said that she won. Maddy had a cookie and we read my Christmas books a couple of times. Then we went to the kitchen and Maddy played with "Playdoh" while I did dishes, talked to Sara, and made Lemon bars; Maddy had another cookie at this point. Then Sara had a cookie and Maddy had her 3rd cookie!
Then Sara and I were in the kitchen talking and Maddy was playing "Candy Land" by herself. She was pretending someone was hurt and was saying "help me, help me" knowing Maddy I disregarded these statements. Then she came RUNNING into the kitchen, and exclaimed "I peed!"
I said, "You have to go potty?"
"No I peed"
"Maddy! We talked about not peeing your pants, let's go to the bathroom."
"Just kidding! I didn't pee."
We went to the bathroom anyways, and she tried.
Then we were in the living room and she was playing with yarn, she started wrapping it around my legs, then asked if I would wrap it around her legs so I did. So Sara taught her to say "I'm a weird kid." It was so funny. Sara also talked her into finding her Christmas present and giving it to her, AND she talked Maddy into being tied to the chair! But I saved Maddy and got her off the chair, she was so excited to be tied in the chair!
We also talked about secrets, and that it was a secret that she had three cookies with in just a few hours. She said she wouldn't tell Michelle.
At the end of the night when Michelle and Ryan came to pick her up she told them "I'm a weird kid!" It was so funny! Then Sara told them about the secret!
The first one is actually on the bottom. She was shaking her head back and forth. She looks so happy, don't you think!

singing the blues
Tonight I will pray for two things. the first is that I will learn to be a nice girl. and the second, that somethings happens to make this worth it soon.
